Part 1:

INVITATION TO PARTICIPATE IN A PROCESS DESIGNED TO PROMOTE A STRENGTHS-FOCUSED-RELATIONSHIP (SfR)

This process requires two participants, who share stories of memorable positive experiences and then help each other articulate each other’s strengths and passions.

In order to engage in this process you will need:

2 people; 2 pads; 2 pencils; A means to play the SfR video.

One of you needs to volunteer to operate the SfR video after you access it. The volunteer needs to know how to ACCESS the “How to use Video” page and how to PLAY the video; also how to PAUSE it; PLAY (UNPAUSE) it; and how to move it fast-forward or backwards, if desired.  It may be necessary to practice until these commands are mastered. More explicit instructions for doing this are in a PDF titled SfR GUIDELINES, which can be accessed and printed out, using instructions shown in Part 2, shown below.

The video that is linked to this site will include demonstrations of the activities before participants are asked to do the activities.  The process will require much pausing and re-starting, and it will take from 90 to 120 minutes to complete. If that amount of time is not available in one sitting, the participants could agree to do it in two shorter sessions.

When you have mastered the controls of the video player,  follow the steps suggested in the video, which can be accessed through the link at the bottom of Part 3 on the page titled “How to use Video.”
